Salon Policies & Procedures
Maintaining Card-On-File
Every guest must provide a card to be placed on file in their guest profile. You can call the salon and put it on file with the help of the Reception Team or by creating an online profile and placing it on file yourself. Any appointments made without a card on file will be canceled after failed attempts to reach the guest. We do apologize in advance for any inconvenience, however, given the niche services we provide, the ability to fill open appointments in our stylist’s books is unlikely to be done within less than 48 hours before the open time slot.
Late Arrivals
We offer a 15-minute grace period for services longer than 15 minutes (this excludes 15-minute consultations). Arrivals more than 20 minutes late may result in a fee per the Madusalon Cancellation Policy.
Late Cancellations & Reschedules
Every guest must provide a credit card to be placed on file to book appointments. If you cancel or try to reschedule with less than 48 hours but more than 24 hours, you will be charged 50% of the total service fee. If you fail to show up for your appointment, cancel, or try to reschedule within less than 24 hours, you will be charged 100% of the total service fee of your appointment per our cancellation policy. All guests receive an email and/or text (if enrolled) on or around 10 am 72 hours before the scheduled appointment to allow ample time to reschedule or cancel.
No Shows
No-shows will be charged 100% of the total service fee per our policy.
Walk-Ins
Given that we provide such niche services, it is unlikely that we will have time to accommodate a same-day walk-in. We encourage all potential guests to schedule an appointment to ensure you receive the service(s) your hair needs.
Service Guarantee & Refunds
Your satisfaction is our top priority. If you are not completely satisfied, please let us know during your service, or within 48 hours after your service has been performed.
Adjustments will only be performed within 2 weeks after your service has been performed.
We are committed to making any necessary corrections and if any fault on our side, we will provide a remedy.
Health History
For your comfort and safety, please notify your stylist if you have any allergies or physical limitations, are pregnant, or have any other circumstances that may be affected during your service.
Please alert your stylist immediately if you experience any discomfort during your service.
Right to Refuse Service
Our salon staff has the right to refuse service to anyone behaving improperly, intoxicated, or if their state of health may influence the effects of the service.
Salon Companion Policy
As a boutique-style space is limited, so we ask that you limit the number of persons accompanying you inside the salon to 1 person. Individuals waiting in the waiting area without an appointment may be asked to make room for guests with appointments.
Guidelines for Minors
We welcome those with curly hair of all ages!
For the safety of all guests including minors, we ask that all minors remain seated next to you (if they are not scheduled for a service) at all times. They cannot wander around the salon and ask that they use their inside voice so as not to disturb other guests.
If these rules are not followed you will be asked to take the minor outside the salon.
If your minor is having a service performed and is under the age of 7, we encourage bringing books or a tablet to keep them entertained.
Covid- 19, Flu or Other Sickness
If you are sick or feeling symptomatic, please call Guest Services to assist you in rescheduling your service.
Masking is optional for guests and stylists, however, if you would feel more comfortable with your stylist wearing a mask, please let your stylist know.
ApplePay and Online Billing are available for touchless payment. Online billing can only be used upon authorization from the guest.
Discounts or fee waivers on late or same-day cancellations resulting from Covid-19 or other illnesses may be issued ONLY at the discretion of the management team.
Madusalon will remain up to date on the recommendations made by the City and County of San Francisco, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.
